I've been working on a way to electrify a structure to power lights, machines and other electronics.
Most recently I've been working hard on transformers for attaching structures to an electrical grid.
The structure and the electrical grid share underlying network code. With a structure you can build, break and join nodes together and they'll unify into a shared structure network.
Powerlines interconnect in a similar way to form an electrical network. You can electrify a structure by attaching a transformer. Electrifying a structure puts its buildings onto the electrical network.
The hard problem arises here in getting the structure network and electrical networks to separate and reconnect just how you'd expect. I have to account for any join - break order from the structure or the electrical network. I suspect there are gremlins here but so far things are working!
